Mattie J. Brenneman, 96 of Arthur, IL passed away at 6:00 A.M. on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at the Brenneman family residence, 1760 County Road 2300 North, in rural Arthur, IL.  Bishop Lavern Schrock will officiate.  Burial will be in the Otto Cemetery in rural Arthur, IL.  Visitation will be held any time after 2:00 P.M. on Friday, November 20, 2020 at the family residence.  The Edwards Funeral home is assisting with arrangements.

Mattie was born on November 16, 1924 in Arthur, IL.  She was a daughter of Jacob S. and Emma (Gingerich) Miller.  She married Noah S. Brenneman on December 4, 1945 in Arthur, IL.  He passed away on February 6, 2015.

She is survived by six children, Glenn Brenneman and his wife Martha Ann (Chupp) of Arthur, IL, Sarah Ann Yoder and her husband John of Lovington, IL, Louise Brenneman of Arthur, IL, Elva Brenneman and his wife Linda (Jones) of Arthur, IL, Lonnie Brenneman and his wife Gertie Ann (Yoder) of Arthur, IL and Carol Otto and her husband David of Arthur, IL; 30 grandchildren, 79 great-grandchildren, 5 step-great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, 1 step-great-great-grandchild, 1 sister-in-law, Edna Miller of Goshen, IN and 2 step-sisters-in-law, Annie Kaufman and her husband Daniel of Arthur, IL and Mrs. Amon (Katie) Miller.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Emma (Gingerich) Miller, her husband, Noah Brenneman, grandson, Marlin Otto, 10 brothers and 2 sisters

Mattie was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
