Lu Anne Frances Fleenor, 61 of Mattoon, IL formerly of Arcola, IL passed away at 8:45 P.M. on Friday, May 8, 2020 at her residence.

Private services will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at the Edwards Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Humboldt Cemetery.

Lu Anne was born on November 23, 1958 in Charleston, IL.   She was a daughter of Robert G. and Frances L. (Bumpus) Hudson.   She married Duane Duzan on April 2, 1977 at the Walnut Grove Christian Church in rural Arcola, IL.   He passed away on July 17, 1993.   She later married Clinton Dale Fleenor on March 27, 1998 in San Diego, CA

She is survived by her husband Clinton, one daughter, Hannah Crnkovich and her husband Matt of Windsor, IL a step-son, Matt Fleenor of Gering, NE, a grandson, Maddux Crnkovich, four siblings, Susan Foster of Arcola, IL, Dan Hudson and his wife Becky of Charleston, IL, Nancy Boyer and her husband David of Arcola, IL and Carol Nelson and her husband Dean of Charleston, IL.   Lu Anne is also survived by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bob and Arita Fleenor of Meridian, ID, a brother-in-law, Doug Fleenor and his wife Samantha and two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Banta and her husband Larry of Boise, ID and Debi Kennedy and her husband Al of Meridian, ID as well as several nieces and nephews.

Lu Anne is preceded in death by her parents and first husband.

Lu Anne was and 1976 graduate Arcola High School.  She attended Lake Land College.   She worked at Illinois Bearing for several years which later became Motion Industries.

Lu Anne had a passion to serve the Lord.  She served as an office administrator for the American Indian Christian Mission in Show Low, AZ for several years and has been on several mission trips, South Korea, Thailand and Nepal just to name a few.   She really enjoyed traveling and has been to England, Alaska, Hawaii, Belgium and Mexico.

Most recently she worked at SMC Corporation of America in Indianapolis, IN.   She worked there for 9 years before moving back to Illinois.

Lu Anne was a member of the Walnut Grove Christian Church in rural Arcola, IL.   She was one of the founding volunteers for Mattoon Area P.A.D.S. now known as The Haven.

Lu Anne was a big Indiana Pacers fan and when attending games she could be found in the “Pacers Fan Zones”.  She collected teacups and ceramic creamers.

Lu Anne was a fearless soul. And so, her love, cheerfulness, kindness, and service to God and others was fierce and complete.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Indian Christian Mission, The Haven or Lakeland College Foundation (for Duane Duzan Scholarship).
