Levi C. Herschberger, 90 years, 4 months, 28 days of Arthur, IL passed away at 6:50 A.M. on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at the Arthur Home.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Friday, September 18, 2020 at the HCK West Building, one mile south of Arthur, IL. Bishop Ervin Dean Schrock will officiate. Burial will be in the Otto Cemetery in rural Arthur, IL. Visitation will be held anytime after 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 and all day on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at the HCK West Building. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Levi was born on April 18, 1930 in Arthur, IL. He was a son of Christian E. and Amelia J. (Bontrager) Herschberger. He married Edna E. Schrock on January 4, 1951. She passed away on July 1, 2017.
He is survived by four children, Raymond Herschberger and his wife Dorothy (Otto), Eli Herschberger and his wife Betty Louise (Kauffman), all of Arthur, IL, Mary Lucille Schrock and her husband Howard of Sullivan, IL and Amanda Miller and her husband Allen of Humboldt, IL, one daughter-in-law, Verna (Miller) Herschberger of Arthur, IL, 25 grandchildren, 77 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, 11 siblings, Katie Miller of Arthur, IL, Irma Schrock and her husband Andy of Bloomfield, IA, Eli Herschberger and his wife Anna of Arthur, IL, Ella Diener and her husband Ben of Arthur, IL, Lydia Mae Yoder and her husband Levi of Watomma, WI, Monroe Herschberger and his wife Verna of Sullivan, IL, Fannie Helmuth and her husband Orie of Statesville, NC, Chris Herschberger Jr. of Bloomfield, IA, Viola Jess and her husband Andy of Humboldt, IL, Mary Yoder and her husband Andy of Ava, IL and Oba Herschberger and his wife Lorene of Sullivan, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Edna, one son, Mervin William Herschberger, one grandson, Eli Ray Herschberger, two great-grandchildren, Lamar Herschberger and Jada Leann Schrock, one brother, Ervin Herschberger and one sister, Sarah Graber.
Levi was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
