Jim Kilburn, 73, of Tuscola, IL passed away at 1:57 A.M. on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.

A Celebration of Jim’s life will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the Victory Church in Camargo, IL.  The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting the family.

James Allen Kilburn was born on June 1, 1945 in Robinson, IL.  He was the son of Vaughn Eugene and Doris Rosalie (Correll) Kilburn.  He married Donna Jo Lorance on May 20, 1966 in New Hebron, IL.

Survivors include his wife, Donna; one daughter, Wendy Jo Shaffer husband, Andy, one granddaughter, Haley Renee Reifsteck, and one step grandson, Brandon William Michael Reifsteck, who is proudly serving in the United States Army; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Jack Kilburn.

Jim is a member of the Zion United Church of Christ in Arthur, IL.  He had been attending the Victory Church in Camargo for the past two years.

Jim was a lifetime member of the Bass Master in Alabama since 1967, a member of National Rifle Association, Moose of Tuscola and a member of A.B.A.T.E. of Tuscola.

Jim drove a semi for Getty Oil located in Tulsa, OK and was an owner and operator for several years.  He retired in 2015 from J-M Transports where he was the trucking terminal manager for over 20 years.

He loved building and racing stock cars in the 70’s, fishing, shooting guns and riding motorcycles.

Jim will be sadly missed.  He was the first and last love of Donna’s life.  A devoted husband, a loving father and fantastic PaPa.  He was a true gentleman in every sense of the word.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
