Ervin D. Miller, 78 of Arthur, IL passed away at 6:40 P.M. on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at the Raymond D. Kaufman residence, 555 North CR 240 East, Arthur, IL.  Bishop Larry Helmuth will officiate.  Burial will be in the Otto Cemetery in rural Arthur, IL.  Visitation will be held any time after 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at the Raymond D. Kaufman residence. The Edwards Funeral home is assisting with arrangements.

Ervin was born on August 6, 1942 in Arthur, IL.  He was a son of Dan A. and Magdalena M. (Schrock) Miller.  He married Susan J. Yoder on April 15, 1971 in Lovington, IL.  She passed away on May 14, 2019.

Survivors include three sons, Jerry Marcus Miller, Merle Duane Miller and his wife Laura and Darrell Lee Miller and his wife Rosemary; two daughters, Marnita Kay Miller and her husband Harold Dean and Amanda Sue Gingerich and her husband Philip all of Arthur, IL; 20 grandchildren; seven siblings, Anna Miller of Arthur, IL, Menno Miller and his wife Lorene (Plank) of Arcola, IL, Verna Schlabach and her husband Daniel of Atwood, IL, Elmer Miller of Lovington, IL, Willis Miller and his wife Katie (Schrock), Omer Miller and his wife Nancy (Yoder), and Merle Miller and his wife Jane (Reece), all of Arthur, IL and one sister-in-law, Mary (Yoder) Miller of Sullivan, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son, Richard Alan Miller, one daughter, Carol Ann Miller, one grandson, Kevin Dean Miller, one brother, Amzy Miller, and one sister-in-law, Katie Marie (Yoder) Miller.

Ervin was a member and a retired Bishop of the Old Order Amish Church.
