Don loved his family, he absolutely loved being “Papa”.  Nothing was more important than his family and his faith.  His hobbies included studying the word of God, leading a Torah Group, and bible studies for men.  He also volunteered at Corman Park.  Don had been a St. Louis Cardinal’s fan since he was 10 years old, and he was an Illini basketball fan.  Don was involved in his children’s athletics, helping coach his son in baseball and attending his daughter’s events.

Don did a lot of shepherding which stemmed from his genuine caring towards God’s people.  He was a quiet leader and was here to serve Jesus by serving God’s people.

Dad, we will raise our children and grandchildren to know God and we will see you and mom again.  As mom would say… “You done good Hood!”
