Ann Burton, 71, of Newton, IL formerly of Arcola, IL passed away at 8:00 A.M. on Monday, May 11, 2020 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main, Arcola, IL.  Rev. Rick Britton will officiate.  Burial will be in the Arcola Cemetery.  Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Ann was born on December 11, 1948 in Flatrock, IL.  She was a daughter of Paul Andrew and Mary Elizabeth (Danser) Reavill.  She married Rodger Lee Burton in June of 1973 in Newton, IL.

She is survived by her husband Rodger Burton of Newton, IL, three sons, David Burton of Newton, Andy Burton of Tuscola, IL and Jason Burton and his wife Barb of Gibson City, IL, eight grandchildren, Andrea, Amy, Miranda, Charlie, Hannah, Darynn, Wade and Preston, two great-grandchildren, one half-brother, Robert Snider of Indianapolis, IN and a beloved dog, Hazel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, stepdad, Harold Norman Snider and two brothers, John Dixon Reavill and George William Reavill.

Ann retired from Master Brand in Arthur in 2010 with 24 years of service.  She was a member of the Eagles in Mattoon and the Legion in Flatrock.

She enjoyed traveling, going to Casinos and shopping.  Ann was a great cook, she always made family gathers extra special.  She always looked forward to getting away on weekends with Rodger, but spending time with her grandchildren always seemed to be her favorite thing to do.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
