Verna Viola Chupp

Verna Viola Chupp, 83, of Arthur, IL passed away at 4:00 AM on Thursday, November 5, 2026 at the Haven of Care in Arthur, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM on Sunday, November 8, 2026 at the HCK West Building, one mile south of Arthur, IL. Bishop Steve Brenneman will officiate. Burial will be in the Otto Cemetery. Visitation will be held any time after 12:00 PM (Noon) on Saturday, November 7, 2026 at the HCK West Building. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Verna was born on April 29, 1943 in Tuscola, IL. She was a daughter of Jeff A. and Rebecca E. (Schrock) Miller. She married Edward J. Chupp on April 4, 1963 in rural Arthur, IL. They lived in Holy Matrimony for 58 years, 4 months and 2 days, before his passing on August 6, 2021.

She is survived by five siblings, Maggie Smith of Decatur, IL, Amanda Miller and Ivan Miller both of Arthur, IL, Eli Miller of Goshen, IN, and Margaret Shetler and her husband Lonnie of Arthur, IL, three nephews, and four nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeff and Rebecca (Schrock) Miller, and her husband Edward J. Chupp.

Verna was a member of the Old Order Amish Faith.
