Todd Andrew Fultz 58, of Sullivan, IL formerly of Arcola, IL passed away at 2:56 AM on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at the New Life Church 1502 Cooks Mill Rd., in Sullivan, IL. Pastor Dave Dolan and Pastor Aaron Dolan will officiate. Burial will follow in the Arcola Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, December 5, 2025 at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main St., Arcola, IL.
Todd was born on June 20, 1967 in Mattoon, IL. He was the son of Roy Andrew and Sharon Arlene (Miller) Fultz. He married Michelle Antoinette Bock on August 16, 2008 at the New Life Church in Sullivan.
He is survived by his wife, whom he affectionately called “The Queen”, Michelle Fultz of Sullivan, IL, two daughters, Shelby (Nick) Spidle of Windsor, IL, Mikayla (Tyler) Nichols of Windsor, IL, one son, Dalton (Suzy) Ohm of Sullivan, IL, five grandchildren, Easton, Waylen, Dawson and Opal Nichols, and Abigail Ohm, one brother, Erik Fultz and his wife Llonna of Sullivan, IL, two nieces, Tabitha Fultz and Jesika Fultz, one nephew, Drew Fultz, three great nieces, Kaia, Gracie, and Lyla, and a great nephew, Abraham.
He is preceded in death by both parents and an infant brother.
He graduated from Arcola High School in 1985, where he played football and participated in show choir. His talents earned him a spot in a group that performed in Peoria. After high school, he continued his education at Lakeland College and Eastern Illinois University, graduating with a bachelor's degree in communications, which is where he received his famous nickname of “Tater”.
He spent his career working for several radio stations, among them WSHY in Shelbyville, WMCI in Mattoon, and the Cromwell Radio Group. Todd also shared his love of sports as an announcer for the Arcola Junior Football League and Arcola High School Football. In addition, he frequently served as an emcee for community events, with the Arcola Broom Corn Festival standing out as one of his recent favorites.
Todd’s passion for music shone through his DJ business, the Rockin’ Tater Show. Through it, he brought joy to countless weddings, parties, school dances, charity fundraisers, and church events. At one point he belonged to a quartet called the “Church Men”.
Todd was a devoted member of New Life Church in Sullivan, where he and his wife served as core leaders. Together, they hosted a video blog called Talk It Over, offering thoughtful discussions about each week’s Sunday sermon. Todd had a deep desire to help others, a passion that led him to become a leader in Celebrate Recovery. Through this ministry, he encouraged and guided many individuals as they began their journeys toward healing and renewal.
His love for Southern Gospel music, particularly Jason Crabb, as well as classic TV shows like Andy Griffith, GunSmoke and M*A*S*H, will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Beyond his many professional endeavors, Todd was cherished for his generous heart and his constant willingness to lend a hand. His wonderful sense of humor could brighten any room, bringing smiles and laughter to everyone around him. More than anything Todd treasured time with his family. He was often found relaxing under the carport, sharing stories and simply enjoying the company of his friends and family. He also loved dining out and spending time with friends, making every outing an opportunity for connection and joy.
He will be missed dearly by all who had the great pleasure of knowing him.
