Sylvia Marie (Drake) Logston

Sylvia Marie (Drake) Logston, 64, of Arcola, IL passed away at 7:30 PM on Tuesday,

September 22, 2026 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO, surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at the Edwards

Funeral Home, 221 East Main St., Arcola, IL. Visitation will be held two hours prior, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.

Sylvia was born on November 17, 1961 in Tuscola, IL to the late Jesse Drake Sr., and the late Ruth (Peeler) (Drake) Bellard.

Sylvia resided at the Haven of Arcola for many many years where she made numerous friends.

She enjoyed reading, word-search books and participating in activities at the Haven. She especially enjoyed outings with Polly Scribner Tolin. She dearly enjoyed her outings with her daughter and grandkids especially the yearly July 4th outings.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her niece Lorraine LeJeune and nephew Nathan LeJeune, and maternal and paternal grandparents.

She is survived by her loving daughter Starlet Marie (Cortez) Jackson, two loving grandchildren Amarii Jackson and Nevaeh Jackson. Her sisters Debra (Darold) Buller of Mattoon, IL, and Sharon Lindstrom (Andy Junkin) of Fithian, IL, and a brother, Jesse Drake Jr., of Gulfport, MS, and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, a great-great niece, and a great-great nephew, and many cousins.
