Shelia was born on April 18, 1956 at the Tompkinsville Hospital in Monroe County, KY to McKinley and Estline (Likens) Crowe.  She moved a lot during her childhood, but her favorite place to live was “The Farm” in Fountain Run, KY.  She attended several schools including Sullivan, IL, Fountain Run, KY, Louisville, KY, Nashville, TN and she graduated from Arthur High School in 1974.  Shortly after, she joined the United States Army. She was very proud to be of service to her country.

Shelia held many positions over the years, starting as a waitress in Fountain Run, Kentucky and ending with twelve harvests at the Okaw Grain in Cadwell, Illinois. She gave one hundred percent to everything she did from cooking and sewing to learning and sharing; she was always on a mission to help someone.

She is survived by her mother, Estline Crowe of Arthur, IL, daughters, Teri Drum of Arthur, IL and Jessie (Mark) Yoder of Atwood, IL, grandchildren, Cassidy (Caleb) Loeppky of McHenry, IL, Corrie and Caitlin Drum of Arthur, IL, step-granddaughter, Leona Reedy of Sullivan, IL great-grandchildren, Nora, Jaxon and Asher Loeppky and Jude Edwards, brothers, Jimmie (Barb) Crowe of Mattoon, IL, David (Teri) Crowe of Charleston, IL and Danny (Brenda) Crowe of Bowling Green, KY, step-sister, Lisa (Bob) Haynes and of Bowling Green, KY and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, one brother, Donald Crowe, one sister, Neda Greathouse, paternal grandparents, Avery and Gustava (Kingery) Crowe, and maternal grandparents, Willie and Lucy (Neely) Likens.

Shelia’s greatest joy was to share her many gifts with others, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She looked forward to weekly card games with her brothers and her mother.  She very much enjoyed movies, music, trivia, reading, dancing and creating; she loved to laugh.

Memorials may be made to the Veterans House in Indianapolis.
