Sarah Fern Otto

Sarah Fern Otto, 49 of Cadwell, IL passed away at 11:15 AM ON Sunday, July 14, 2024 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 AM on Friday, July 19, 2024 at the Otto Center in rural Arthur, IL. Bishop Melvin Ray Otto will officiate. Burial will be in the Otto Cemetery in rural Arthur, IL. Visitation will be held anytime after 3:00 PM on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 and anytime after 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 18, 2024 all at the Otto Center. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. 

Sarah was born on July 3, 1975 in Decatur, IL. She is the daughter of Marvin Ray and Elnora (Chupp) Miller. She married Jerry Lavern Otto on January 21, 1994 in Cadwell, IL. 

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Otto of Cadwell, IL, four children, Derick Ray Otto Arthur, IL, Robert Lavern Otto and his wife Isabelle of Mode, IL, Brian Jay Otto and his wife Wanda of Arthur, IL, and Amy Janelle Otto at home, one grandson, Waylon Lane Otto, born on July 6, 2024, Sarah got to hold her first grandson while in the hospital, she also has another grandchild on the way, her mother, Elnora Miller of Cadwell, IL; four siblings, Kevin Eugene Miller and his wife Brianne of Savoy, IL, Steven Ray Miller and his wife Beth of Lovington, IL, Devon Miller and his wife Erin of Arthur, IL and Amanda Rose Yoder and her husband Daniel of Cadwell, IL, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Miller, her paternal grandparents, Marx S. and Amanda (Schrock) Miller and her maternal grandparents, Menno and Sarah (Gingerich) Chupp. 

Sarah enjoyed bird watching, especially cardinals and hummingbirds, and spending time with family and friends.

Sarah was a member of the Old Order Amish Faith.
