Sandra C. Green

Sandra C. Green, 83, of Tuscola, IL passed away at 7:43 PM on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at Carriage Crossing Senior Living in Arcola, IL.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 in the Danville National Cemetery, Danville, IL where she will be laid to rest with her husband. Pastor Whit Lauwers will officiate. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Sandra was born on October 29, 1942 in Jackson, MS. She was the daughter of Charles Walduer and Anna Louise (Kiley) Hoxie. She married Kenneth LeRoy Green on June 8, 1993 in Los Angeles, CA.

She is survived by friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister, Patricia.

Sandra dedicated much of her time to managing the properties that were part of her family’s business. Alongside her husband, she also experienced a unique chapter in her life as stand-ins for movies during their years living in California.

She loved painting, visiting with friends, and indulging her love for movies. She was known as a movie buff with an impressively large collection.

Sandra attended the Catholic Church and the Nazarene Church.

For the last six months of her life, Carriage Crossing in Arcola became like a family to Sandra. She felt deeply loved and cared for by the community there, which held a special place in her heart. Her friends and loved ones remain ever grateful for the kindness and attention she received during that time.
