Rosangel Zarate

Rosangel Zarate, 13, of Arcola, IL passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Tuesday, on May 26, 2026 at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main St., Arcola, IL, concluding with a prayer.

Rosangel was born on October 25, 2012 in Cadereyta, Mexico. She was the daughter of Rocio D. Trevino.

She is survived by her mother, Rocio D. Trevino and her husband Jeffrey Harris of Humboldt, IL, and one brother, Brandon Zarate of Cadereyta, Mexico.

Rosangel was a 7th grader at Arcola Jr. High School. While in school, she participated in track and field. She had many friends and enjoyed dancing. One of her proudest accomplishments was learning how to play the violoncello. Her lively spirit and friendly nature made her a joy to those around her.
