Rick Hock, 65, of Arcola, IL passed away at 12:37 AM on Monday, February 16, 2026 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, February 20, 2026 at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main St., Arcola, IL. Visitation will be held two hours prior, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
Ricky was born on March 2, 1960 in Tuscola, IL. He was a son of George Emanuel Jr. and Margaret Pearl “Marge” (Miller) Hock. He married Dianne Elizabeth (Irvin) Brannon on July 24, 2010 in Arcola, IL.
He is survived by his wife, Dianne Hock of Arcola, IL, three children, Ricky Hock Jr. of Mahomet, IL, Jennifer Hottman and her husband Justin of Tolono, IL and Ryan Brannon and his fiancé Kate of Columbus, OH, six grandchildren, Bryce Hock, Kennedy Hock, Courtney Rich, Zoey Hock, Destiny Booth and Wyatt Booth, two great grandchildren, Everleigh and Zailey, three siblings, Doug Hock and his wife Vicki of Arcola, IL, Rose Hock and her significant other, Darrell Powell of Arcola, IL, and George E. Hock III of Mattoon, IL, as well as several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his dad, George Hock Jr., his mom, Marge Edwards, one brother, Lee Allen Hock.
Rick graduated from Arcola High School in 1978, furthering his education by earning an associate degree in applied science from Parkland College.
He worked for many years alongside Tony Wingler at the Warren Broom Company, where he became known for his strong work ethic and camaraderie with colleagues.
Outside of work, Rick was a man who loved to make people laugh. He had a natural talent for storytelling, often captivating those around him with tales that brought joy and entertainment.
Rick had many hobbies; he thoroughly enjoyed fishing and often spent time tinkering around in his shed. He was also an avid fan of the Chicago Bears.
