Ricardo Galvan Lira , 50 of Arcola, IL passed away at 9:43 A.M. on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Arcola, IL.  Father Angel Sierra will officiate.  Burial will be in the Arcola Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at the Edwards Funeral Home in Arcola, IL.

Ricardo was born on December 30, 1970 in Cadereyta Jiménez, N.L., Mexico.  He was a son of Carlos Galvan Paz and Carmina Galvan.  He married Alicia Trejo on January 2, 1991 in Cadereyta Jiménez, N.L., Mexico.

He is survived by his wife, Alicia Trejo de Galvan, three children, Ricardo “Ricky” Galvan and his wife Jane, Luis Galvan and Cynthia Galvan, parents, Carlos and Carmina Galvan, and four siblings, Carlos Galvan, Adriana Ruiz and her husband Eliazar, Gilberto Galvan and his wife Darla and Juan Galvan and his wife Hilda all of Arcola, IL.

Ricardo was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Arcola.

He had worked at Okaw Truss in Chesterville for over 19 years.

Ricardo loved watching movies, cooking, dancing, listening to music and singing karaoke. He enjoyed watching soccer, America being his favorite team.  Ricardo always loved having family around and always enjoyed a good party.  He was a great husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He never met a stranger, loved to make people laugh, and always wore a smile on his face.

Había trabajado en Okaw Truss en Chesterville durante más de 19 años.

A Ricardo le encantaba ver películas, cocinar, bailar, la música y cantar karaoke.  Disfrutaba viendo fútbol, América era su equipo favorito.  A Ricardo siempre le encantó tener a la familia cerca y siempre disfrutó de una buena fiesta.  Fue un gran esposo, padre, hijo, hermano, tío, y amigo.  Nunca se topó con un desconocido, le encantaba hacer reír a la gente, y siempre llevaba una sonrisa en la cara.
