Rhoda Marie Rocke

Rhoda Marie (Gingerich) Rocke, 61, of Arcola, IL passed away at 9:45 AM on Monday, June 30, 2025 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 AM on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at the HCK West Building in rural Arthur, IL. Bishop Jacob Stutzman will officiate. Burial will be in the Otto Cemetery in Arthur, IL. Visitation will be held anytime after 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 and anytime after 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 all at the HCK West Building. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Rhoda was born on December 14, 1963 in Tuscola, IL. She was the daughter of Abe L. and Sarah A. (Mast) Gingerich. She married Daniel Lynn Rocke on April 13, 1983 in Chesterville, IL; they lived in Holy Matrimony 42 years, 2 months, 17 days.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel Rocke of Arcola, IL, five children, Lucas Rocke and his wife Rebecca of Arcola, IL, Matthew Rocke and his wife Lisa of Arthur, IL Miriam Nisley and her husband Matthew of Tuscola, IL, Timothy Rocke and his wife Loretta of Arthur, IL, and Hannah Brenneman and her husband Lonnie of Arthur, IL, daughter-in-law, Teresa Rocke of Tuscola, IL, 24 grandchildren, and five brothers, Paul Gingerich and his wife Ann of Arthur, IL, Jerry Gingerich and his wife Judy of Goodlestville, TN, Loyd and his wife Judy of Arcola, IL, Phillip Gingerich and his wife Lisa of Arthur, IL, and John Gingerich and his wife Marilyn of Arthur, IL, five sisters, Lydia Miller and her husband Perry of Lawrenceburg, TN, Lucy Yoder of Garnett, KS, Leah Mae Yoder and her husband Marvin of Tulsa, OK, Wilma Borkholder and her husband Mervin of Bloomington, IL and Anna Gingerich and her husband Freeman of Arcola, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Abe and Sarah Gingerich, one son, Reuben Abraham Rocke, and a stillborn brother, mother-in-law, Lena Rocke, two brothers-in-law, Andy Yoder and Reuben Rocke and one sister-in-law Verba Gingerich.

She was a member of the Old Order Amish Faith. She enjoyed gardening and working in her flowers. She loved being a wife, mom and especially a grandma.
