REUBEN J. SCHROCK, 80, of Arcola, IL passed away at 2:15 P.M. on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at the HCK West Building, 300 North CR 000 East in Arthur, IL.   Bishop Ervin E. Miller will officiate.  Burial will be in the Yoder Cemetery in rural Arthur, IL.  Visitations will be held any time after 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 25, 2017 and any time after 1:00 P.M. on Monday, June 26, 2017 all at the HCK West Building.  The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Reuben was born March 27, 1937 in Arthur, IL.  He was a son of John and Elizabeth (Yoder) Schrock.  He married Edna Fern Schrock on February 14, 1957 in Arthur, IL; they have been married for over 60 years.

Survivors include his wife Edna Fern of Arcola, IL; 2 sons and 7 daughters, Elva Schrock and his wife Carol Ann (Yoder) of Arcola, IL, Dorothy Schrock and her husband Raymond of Arthur, IL, Clara Mae Yoder and her husband Robert of Arthur, IL, Mary Ellen Schlabach and her husband Richard of Ava, IL, Delores Ann Helmuth and her husband Larry of Arthur, IL, Katie Viola Chupp and her husband Kenneth of Tuscola, IL, Lorene R. Yoder and her husband Mervin of Arcola, IL and Loretta R. Miller and her husband Elmer of Arcola, IL and Bennie Schrock and his wife Marlene (Hostetler) of Arcola, IL; 54 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren and 11 step great-grandchildren; 3 brothers Andrew Schrock and his wife Irma of Bloomfield, IA, Jonas Schrock and his wife Miriam of Arcola, IL and Ervin Schrock of Arthur, IL and 3 sisters Susanna Miller of Arcola, IL, Fannie Hostetler of Milton, IA and Gertie Yoder and her husband Ed of Arthur, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son Ervin, son-in-law Ernie Yoder, 3 grandchildren Larry Schrock, Marcus Schlabach and Rosanna Yoder and 1 great-grandson Jonathan Schlabach.

Reuben served as a farrier for many years and was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
