Reuben A. Hostetler, 45 of Arthur, IL passed away at 10:14 PM on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at his residence.

 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 600 East North Line Rd., in Tuscola, IL. Rev. Jason Braaten will officiate. Burial will be in the Cartwright Cemetery in rural Tuscola, IL. Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, September 30, 2022, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

 

Reuben was born on May 25, 1977, in Tuscola, IL. He is a son of Albert E. and Katie Ann (Kauffman) Hostetler. He married Dorothy Marner on June 2, 2007, in Arcola, IL.

 

Survivors include his wife, his parents of Arthur, IL, five siblings, Raymond Hostetler and his wife Verna of Tuscola, IL, Richard Hostetler and his wife Mary Beth of Arthur, IL, Robert Hostetler and his wife Treva of Findley, IL, Rosemary Yoder and her husband Chris of Arthur, IL and Rheba Schrock and her husband Wayne of Arthur, IL, 13 nieces and nephews, 14 great nieces and nephews and brother’s-in-law and sister’s-in-law, Andrew Marner and his wife Lynn of Arthur, IL, Lydia Marner of Arcola, IL, Daniel Marner and his wife Irene of Constantine, MI and Sarah Ann Henry and her husband Steve of Atwood, IL.

 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Katie Marner and a brother-in-law Valentine “Felty” Marner.

 

Reuben is a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tuscola, IL.

 

Reuben spent most of his career driving a semi-truck for various companies, most recently for Chesterville Trucking Company.

 

His hobbies included pencil drawing, working in the yard and spending time with his wife, family, and friends.
