Reuben D. Chupp

REUBEN D. CHUPP, 80 of Arthur, IL passed away at 5:15 A.M. on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Friday, May 16, 2025, at the HCK West Building in rural Arthur, IL. Bishop Marion M. Miller will officiate. Burial will be in the Otto Cemetery in rural Arthur, IL. Visitation will be held any time after 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, and any time after 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 15, 2025, all at the HCK West Building. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Reuben was born on August 13, 1944 in Moultrie County, IL. He was a son of Daniel J. and Anna S. (Beachy) Chupp. He married Fannie Mae Stutzman on November 10, 1966 in Moultrie County, IL. They lived in Holy Matrimony for 58 years, 6 months.

He is survived by his wife Fannie Mae Chupp; four sons, Harold Chupp and his wife Lydia Mae (Yoder) of Arcola, IL, Ernest Lynn and his wife Betty (Schrock), Glen Chupp and his wife Ruth Ann (Gingerich)all of Arthur, IL, and Edwin Chupp and his wife Jolene (Jess) of Tuscola, IL; 22 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Andrew Hostetler and his wife Wilma of Arthur, IL, and Adlia Helmuth and his wife Alma of Arthur, IL.

He was preceded in death by his brother Jacob D. Chupp and his wife Alta W. (Miller), and four sisters, Verna Chupp, Ruby Hostetler, Lydia Ann Herschberger and her husband Toby, and Edna Helmuth.

Reuben was a woodworker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
