RALPH LEROY YODER, 80, of Arthur, IL, passed away AT 6:26 A.M. on June 2, 2017 at his daughter’s residence in rural Arcola, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Sunday, 4 June 2017 at the HCK West Building.   Bishop Omer J. Otto will officiate.  Burial will be in the Yoder Cemetery in rural Arthur, IL.  Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, June 2, 2017 and any time after 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the HCK West Building.   The Edwards Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Ralph was born on March 26, 1937 in Tuscola, IL.   He was a son of Chris J. and Susie J. (Plank) Yoder.   He married Mattie A. Helmuth on October 4, 1956.  She passed away June 6, 2015

He is survived by one daughter, Carol Ann and her husband Elva Schrock of Arcola, IL, six sons, Paul and his wife Naomi Otto of Sullivan, IL, Dennis and his wife Lorene Yoder of Arcola, IL, Eldon and his wife Dena Chupp of Arcola, IL, Jerry and his wife Marnita Miller of Arthur, IL, Wilmer of Mattoon, IL, Mervin and his wife Lorene Schrock of Arcola, IL, two daughter-in-laws, Clara Mae Yoder and her husband Robert of Arthur, IL, and Lisa Gingerich and her husband Philip of Arthur, IL, 47 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren and 10 siblings, Stanley Yoder of Middlebury, IN, Viola Schrock and her husband Edwin of Arthur, IL, Katie Ann Yoder and her husband Sylvan of Arcola, IL, Wilma Gingerich and her husband Willard of Atwood, IL, Esther Miller and her husband Melvin of Middlebury, IN, Ola Yoder and his wife Vera Schmucker of Nappanee, IN, Willie Yoder and his wife Lizzie of Shipshewana, IN, Lovina Plank and her husband Wilmer of Tuscola, IL and Nancy Miller and her husband Omer of Arthur, IL.

Ralph was preceded in death by his wife Mattie, 2 sons, Ernie and Marcus a granddaughter, Rosanna Yoder, his parents Chris and Susie and 1 brother John Henry Yoder.

Ralph had been a farmer and a woodworker  and was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
