Morris S. Gingerich

Morris S. Gingerich, 89, of Tuscola, IL passed away at 2:20 PM on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 AM on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at the Otto Center in rural Arthur, IL. Bishop Matthew Miller will officiate. Burial will be in the Miller Cemetery. Visitation will be any time after 2:00 P.M. on Friday, September 12, and anytime after 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 13, all at the Otto Center, The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Morris was born on April 10, 1936. He was a son of Simon C. and Sadie (Schrock) Gingerich. He married Katie S. Miller on December 29, 1955.

He is survived by his wife, Katie Gingerich of Tuscola, IL, six children, Edna Mae Miller and her husband Noah of Arthur, IL, Willard Gingerich and his wife Elsie of Arcola, IL, Ruben Gingerich and his wife Nancy of Tuscola, IL, Barbara Ann Diener and her husband Larry of Tuscola, IL, Carolyn Schrock and her husband John of Arthur, IL, and Ivan Gingerich and his wife Carolyn of Arthur, IL, 31 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren two siblings, Kenneth Gingerich of Arthur, IL and Gertie Ann Byler and of Arthur, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three children, Marilyn, Marvin and an infant, and one brother, Levi Eugene Gingerich.

Morris was a member of the Old Order Amish Faith.
