MATTIE C. MILLER, 90 of Arthur, IL passed away at 5:50 A.M. on Friday, March 11, 2022, at her residence. 

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Monday, March 14, 2022, at the HCK West Building, South of Arthur, IL. Bishop Ervin D. Miller will officiate. Burial will be in the Yoder Cemetery in rural Arthur, IL.
Visitation will be held any time after 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 12, 2022, and any time after 10:00 on Sunday, March 13, 2022, all at the HCK West Building. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Mattie was born on January 22, 1932, in Tuscola, IL. She was a daughter of Christian N. and Lovina (Kauffman) Bontrager. She was married Henry A. Miller on November 23, 1950, they lived in Holy Matrimony for 53 years. He passed away on December 7, 2003.

Survivors include four sons and three daughters, Raymond Miller and his wife Carolyn (Miller), Merle Miller and his wife Marlene (Miller), Ernest Miller and his wife Barbara Ann (Miller) all of Arthur, IL, Mervin Miller and his wife Amanda Kay (Otto) of Sullivan, IL, Dorothy Chupp and her husband Daniel, Irene Kuhns and her husband Duane of Arthur, IL and Sovilla Herschberger and her husband Alvin all of Arthur, IL; twenty-one grandchildren; sixty-three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; her siblings include, Lizzie Diener of Humboldt, IL, Verna Bontrager of Sarasota, FL, Mary Chupp and her husband Lewis of Tuscola, IL, William Bontrager and his wife Fannie of Millersburg, OH, Irvin Bontrager and his wife Mary of Middlebury, IN, Clara Herschberger and her husband Nelson of Arcola, IL, Katie Helmuth of Glen Flora, WI, and Samuel Bontrager of Purdin, MO; one sister-in-law, Alma Schweitzer of Goshen, IN and a brother-in-law, Oba Herschberger of Sullivan, IL

Mattie was preceded in death by her Husband, Henry A. Miller, her parents, Christian N. and Lovina (Kauffman) Bontrager, her stepmother, Lizzie Ann (Miller) Bontrager, ten siblings, Ida Otto and her husband Otis, Edna Miller and her husband Andy, Carrie Herschberger and her husband Levi, Raymond Bontrager, Fannie Schrock and her husband Jake, Melvin Bontrager and his wife Laura, Levi Bontrager, Eli Bontrager and his wife Katie, Anna Bontrager, and Lorene Herschberger, brothers-in-law, Joe M. Diener, Mannasses Bontrager Jr., and Glen Helmuth, and a sister-in-law Pam Bontrager.

Mattie was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
