Mary Ellen Schrock, 76, of Arthur, IL passed away at 3:15 A.M. on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at the HCK West Building, one mile south of Arthur, IL. Bishop Larry R. Diener will officiate. Burial will be in the Miller Cemetery in rural Arcola, IL. Visitation will be held after 2:00 P.M. Monday, June 22, 2026, and any time after 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 23all at the HCK West Building. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Mary Ellen was born on September 6, 1949, in Arthur, IL. She was a daughter of Henry M. and Gertude (Jess) Schrock. She married Edward J. Schrock on December 25, 1968, in Arthur, IL. He passed away on May 21, 2022. To this union one son and three daughters were born.
Mary Ellen is survived by, four children, Levi Schrock, Betty Lorene Chupp and her husband Ernest, Elsie Fern Miller and her husband Duane and Marlene Mast and her husband Lonnie all of Arthur, IL; a stepson, Paul Bontrager and his wife Mary (Troyer) of Centerville, MI; nineteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; fifteen step-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Willis Schrock and his wife Ida (Miller), Raymond Schrock and his wife Dorothy (Schrock), John Henry Schrock and his wife Carolyn Gingerich; one sister, Anna Mae Kaufman and her husband David, and a brother-in-law, Milton Otto and his wife Marilyn (Schrock).
She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Schrock, her parents, Henry M. and Gurtrude (Jess) Schrock, and a sister, Edna Fern Otto.
Mary Ellen was a member of the Old Order Amish faith.
