Biography

LYDIA ANN HERSCHBERGER , 85, of Sullivan, IL passed away at 6:15 A.M. on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at the HCK West Building, one mile south of Arthur, IL. Bishop Omer Otto will officiate. Burial will be in the Otto Cemetery in rural Arthur, IL.

Visitation will be held any time after 4:00 P.M. on Friday, September 19, 2014 at the HCK West Building in rural Arthur, IL. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Mrs. Herschberger was born on June 26, 1929. She was a daughter of Daniel J. and Anna S. (Beachy) Chupp. She married Toby J. Herschberger on September 11, 1952 in Moultrie County, IL. He passed away on October 14, 2009.

Survivors include one son, Olen Herschberger and his wife Christine of Castle Rock, CO, four daughters, Kathryn Mullet and her husband Marvin of Sullivan, IL Rosanna Helmuth and her husband Glen of Belvidere, TN, Ruth Gingerich and her husband Ivan of Arcola IL, and Laura Herschberger of Sullivan; eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, ten step grandchildren, fifty-three step great-grandchildren, twelve step great-great-grandchildren, one brother Reuben Chupp and his wife Fannie Mae of Arthur, IL, one sister Edna Helmulth and her husband Adlia of Arthur, IL.

Mrs. Herschberger was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two grandchildren, one brother, Jacob Chupp and one sister Ruby Hostetler.

She was a member of the Old Order Amish Faith. Mrs. Herschberger enjoyed quilting.
