Biography

LLOYD “BUDDY” DAVID LINDSEY, 56, of Rantoul, IL, formerly of Binghamton, NY passed away at 8:30 A.M. on Friday, June 19, 2015 in Troy, IL.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church in Rantoul, 200 South Century Blvd in Rantoul, IL. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at the church. Rev. Charlie McDonald will officiate. Burial will be in the Maplewood Cemetery in Rantoul, IL. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Buddy was born on October 20, 1958 in Sustuehanna, PA. He was a son of Lloyd “Bud” and Frances (Donahue) Lindsey.

Buddy is survived by his children, Phil Lindsey and his wife Rachel of Catlin, IL, Shawna Waller and her husband Steve of Urbana, IL, and Nick Lindsey and his wife Morgan of Tuscola, IL; his mother, Frances Lindsey of Binghamton, NY; five siblings Barbara Bilyeu of Elmira, NY, Debbie Edwards of Binghamton, NY, Sherry Lindsey of Binghamton, NY, Scott Lindsey of Binghamton, NY, and David Lindsey of Port Crane, NY; six grandsons, Braxton, Brayden, and Brennan Waller, Carter and Parker Lindsey, and Kendon Lindsey; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and other special family members, including stepsons, J.J. and J.C Crowe and their families; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd “Bud” Lindsey and his uncle, Donald Donahue.

Buddy grew up in Binghamton, NY and graduated from Chenango Valley High School.
He enjoyed driving a truck for K.L. Breeden and Sons, Lindsey Trucking. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Savoy, IL. He loved fishing, going to the races, bowling, and spending time with friends and family.
