Linda Gibson

LINDA LOU GIBSON, 66, of Charleston, IL passed away at 11:33 P.M. on Friday, January 17, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her family.

A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at the Time Out Lounge, 44 Moultrie AVE in Mattoon, IL. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Linda was born on August 19, 1947 in Tulsa, OK where she lived for 63 years. She was a daughter of Lionel and Lucille (Butts) Robertson.

She is survived by two children, Arnold Gibson of Tulsa, OK and Sherrie Gibson of Charleston, IL; two grandchildren, Stevie Blackwood of Mattoon, IL, Erin Dickerson and her husband Jason of Allen, TX; one great-granddaughter, Riley Walters and a great-grandson on the way. She is also survived by one brother, William Robertson of Oregon.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Stockholm.

Linda was a member of the Muscogee Creek Nation Tribe.

Linda was self-employed. She cleaned homes and would house-sit for many families in the Tulsa, OK area.

Linda’s hobbies included sewing, going to the lake, fishing and traveling. She always enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
