Levi Diener

LEVI M. DIENER, 84, of Arcola, IL passed away at 10:20 P.M. on Friday, March 9, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.

Levi was born on January 28, 1934 in Moultrie County, IL.   He was a son of Menno A and Barbara C (Gingerich) Diener.   He married Laura A. Herschberger on December 1, 1955 in Arthur, IL.   She passed away on February 21, 2011.

He is survived by 4 sons and 3 daughters; Dennis (Susan Haynes), Arcola; Willard (Mary Miller), Arcola; Rebekah (Allan Borntreger), Oakland; Tobias Andrew, Arthur; Ruth (Ed Miller), Arthur; Irma (Glen Miller), Goshen, IN and Ira (Esther Hochstetler), Goshen, IN; 28 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; one brother, Ben M (Ella) Diener, Arthur; 2 sisters-in-law, Mrs. Joe (Lizzie) Diener, Mrs. Amos (Fannie) Otto and many more friends and relatives.

Levi was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Laura, 3 sisters, Lena (Albert) Mullet, Katie (Amos) Otto and Mary (Ervin) Miller; 3 brothers, Andrew, Enos and Joe Diener and 2 great-grandsons.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Monday, March 12, 2018 at the Dwayne Herschberger residence, 401 N CR 400 E, Arcola.   Bishop Jake Stutzman will officiate.   Burial will be in the Miller Cemetery, Arcola, IL.   Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. on Saturday, March 10, 2018 and from 1:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. on Sunday, March 11, 2018 all at the Dwayne Herschberger residence.    The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
