Lenore Nau, 89, of Tuscola, IL went to be with her Lord at 3:30 P.M. on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.

Lenore was born on January 16, 1929 in Burlington, IA.  She was a daughter of Harold “Jack” and Julia (Hall) Luzadder.  She married Merton Nau on April 11, 1948 in Glasgow, IA.  He passed away on September 30, 1990.

Survivors include three children, Steven (Eugenia “Gina”) Nau of Ft. Myers, FL, Julia (John) Carico of The Woodlands, TX, and Gregory (Celeste) Nau of Tuscola, IL, ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, three brothers, William (Donna) Luzadder of Hannibal, MO, Jerry Luzadder of Fairfield, IA, and Harold (Patty) Luzadder of Fairfield, IA, and one sister, Ellen (Carroll) Spence of Mt. Pleasant, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter-in-law, and grandson.

Visitation will be held July 12, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 600 East North Line Road in Tuscola, IL, 61953.  Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jason Braaten officiating.  On Friday, July 13, 2018, a visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Murphy Funeral Home, 408 North Broadway St., Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. Interment will immediately follow at Forest Home Cemetery.

Lenore was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tuscola and the Douglas County Republican Women.

She retired after 24 years of service from Mobil Chemical Co.

Lenore enjoyed embroidery, reading, and exercising. She was known by those who love her for her nurturing spirit, her purposeful and hardworking attitude, and her dedication to family.
