Larry Dale Hatton

Larry Dale Hatton, 67, of Kansas, IL passed away at 10:30 AM on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at his residence.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.

Larry was born on March 17, 1959 in Urbana, IL. He was a son of James Daniel and Betty (Clifton) Hatton.

He is survived by six children, JD Hatton and his wife Stefanie of Edwardsville, IL, Brad Hatton and his wife Rowan of Ft. Collins, CO, Kyle Hatton and his wife Sierra of Gibson City, IL, Melinda Marie Hatton of Tyler, TX, Kayla Hatton of Arcola, IL and Shawn Embry of Arcola, IL, 10 grandchildren, five siblings, Kenny Murray and his wife Sandy of Pesotum, IL, Billy Hatton and his wife Dottie of Pesotum, IL, Rick Hatton and his wife Marnita of Arthur, IL, Mike Hatton and his wife Sherri of Oakland, IL, April Thomas and her husband Rob of Mattoon, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Jimmy Hatton and a sister, Karen Carter.

Larry has been a musician most of his life, he has been playing the guitar since the age of 7. His band was played “Chicken Bristle Goose Band” CBG’s. He played guitar and sang.

Larry was very crafty, he loved to fish, he was a great musician and artist, and he loved tinkering with guitars and lamps.
