Karen Sue (Anderson) Clark

KAREN SUE (ANDERSON) CLARK, 84 of Champaign, IL passed away at 7:04 P.M. on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, October 2, 2026, at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main, in Arcola, IL. Phil Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in the Arcola Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. prior to the funeral at the funeral home.

Karen Sue was born on December 2, 1941, in North Okaw Township, in Coles County, IL. She was a daughter of Leonard Rex and Lillian Annabelle, (Janes) Anderson. She married John R. Clark on June 5, 1960, in Arcola, IL. He passed away on April 9, 2017.

Karen Sue is survived by her three children, John R. Clark Jr. and his wife Donna of Champaign, IL, Yvonne Nash of Cabot, AR and Teresa VonBehren of Champaign, IL; fifteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Phil Anderson and his wife Debbie, Bill Anderson and his wife Rita all of Arcola, IL, Dennis Anderson and his wife Dorothy and Ken Anderson and his wife Mary Ann all of Mattoon, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Troy Lee Clark and two grandbabies, Brianna and Jacob VonBehren, two sons-in-law, Jon VonBehren, and Danny Nash, one brother, Larry Anderson and one sister, Lynn Blissard.

Karen Sue had many different roles in life, she worked at several different places through the years, but it goes without saying that her favorite roles in life were being a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and not to mention wife to John R. Clark Sr. for nearly 57 years.

Her hobbies included puzzles of all kinds, reading tabloids, playing solitaire, watching soap operas, scrapbooking, spoiling her grandchildren and simply being with her family.
