Joshua Allan Tomas, 40 of Humboldt, IL passed away at 2:43 P.M. on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Charleston Rehabilitation and Care Center.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 16, 2022, at the Edwards Funeral Home 221 East Main Street, Arcola, IL. Rev. Dan Haifley will officiate. Burial will be in the Humboldt Cemetery. Visitation will be held from Noon to 2:00 P.M. on Monday, May 16, 2022, at the funeral home.

 

Joshua was born May 10, 1982, in Paris, IL. He was a son of Dale and Lisa (Taylor) Tomas. He married Pamela Marie Beliz on July 28, 2012, in Charleston, IL.

 

He is survived by his wife, Pam of Humboldt, IL, two children, Jaxon and Matthew Tomas, his mother, Lisa Tomas of Humboldt, IL, one brother, Caleb Jackson Tomas of Humboldt, IL and one sister, Amy Barthelemy and her husband Zach and their children Taylee and Teagan of Peoria, IL and his maternal grandmother Donna Taylor Mattoon, IL.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Tomas, his maternal grandfather Ronnie Taylor, and his mother-in-law Patti Whitlatch.

 

Josh attended Maranatha Baptist Church in Mattoon, IL. He had worked as a Painter and Drywaller for Schout Painting and Drywall in Charleston for many years before establishing Tomas and Sons Drywall and Painting.

 

Josh was a huge Green Bay Packer fan. Aaron Rogers was one of his favorite players. Like any Packer fan getting to see and experience Lambo Field was a highlight of his. He also enjoyed playing the guitar, going to concerts, riding four wheelers, gardening, and swimming. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his wife and boys.

 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Josh’s family.
