Jonathan Erwin VonBehren

Jonathan Erwin “Jon” VonBehren, 65, of Rankin, IL passed away at 3:46 PM on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.

Jon was born on July 14, 1960 in Shelbyville, IL. He was the son of Curtis and Nayetella VonBehren. He married Teresa Anne Clark on May 25, 2000.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa VonBehren of Rankin, IL, six children, Shaynne VonBehren and his wife Courtney of Beecher City, IL, Katelyn VonBehren and her husband Skyler of Georgetown, IL, Brook Kleinsteiber and her husband Ross of Paxton, IL, Tyler VonBehren and his wife Bre of Weldon, IL, Carrisa Clark and her husband Brian of Sullivan, IL, Brycen VonBehren of Rankin, IL, 19 grandchildren, one great grandchild, and his mother-in-law, Sue Clark of Champaign, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three children, Brianna, Jacob and Myles, his father-in-law, John Clark, and a brother-in-law, Troy Clark.

Jon was a United States Army Veteran.

Jon had a fulfilling career as a truck driver, where he worked for several companies including KSI, Kabe Trucking of Cisna Park, IL, and JB Hunt in Champaign, IL. He also worked at Kmart, where he met his wife. Additionally, Jon worked for Sullivan Chevrolet as a mechanic.

Outside of work, Jon had a variety of interests. He loved attending stock car races and had a passion for working on cars. His faith was significant to him, and he enjoyed going to church regularly. Jon also liked participating in flea market shows. Jon had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone.
