Jerry Clark Titus

JERRY CLARK TITUS, 78 of Filson, IL passed away at his home on Wednesday afternoon, June 18, 2025.

Jerry was born on December 9, 1946, in Tuscola, IL, to Eddie Clark and Wanda Lavonne (Edwards) Titus. He married Sharlene Chapman in 1973 and is survived by her. One son, Brent Clark Titus, is predeceased and surviving stepson is Steven Chapman. Numerous cousins and friends left to grieve.

Jerry worked as a young man at Progress Industries in Arthur, IL. He owned and operated Jerry’s Radiator Repair in the Industrial Park for 41 years. Jerry wanted to repair instead of just replace which became the norm in that industry. He enjoyed rebuilding and restoring radiators for antique tractors. Jerry was an avid woodworker and gardener. Jerry was mechanical in nature and had a keen eye for design and engineering. Jerry was a man ruled by common sense and practicality. He saw potential when others were ready to discard. Jerry enjoyed fellowship with friends but was quiet and unassuming in nature. He will be greatly missed in our little village of Filson and by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main in Arcola, IL. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home following the visitation. Burial will be in the Arcola Cemetery.
