Jennifer Joan Wickersham, 51, of Pensacola, FL formerly of Hiawassee, GA, passed away at 11:44 A.M. Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at her residence.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 Pm to 6:00 PM on Saturday, October 26, at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main St., Arcola, IL. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Arcola, IL. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Humboldt Cemetery in Humboldt, IL.
Jennifer was born January 22, 1973, in Ottawa, IL. She was the daughter of Daniel Wickersham and Sandra Kay Niles.
Jennifer is survived by her father Daniel Wickersham and his wife Debbie of Brasstown, NC, two daughters Lauren Telfer of Roanoke, VA and Savannah Telfer of Arlington, VA, one son Daniel and his wife Christina Telfer, their daughter, Athena, Jennifer’s granddaughter, of Oakland, CA., four sisters, Angela Cantrell and her husband David of Aurora, IL, Lisa Edwards and her husband Jeff of Arcola, IL, Tara Miles and her husband Nick of Bel Air, MD, and Brittney Abrams and her husband Jason of Arden, NC, and several aunts, uncles and cousins and nieces and nephews.
Her mother Sandra, her brother Robert Nelson, her paternal grandparents Wendell and Jennie Wickersham, and her maternal grandparents Robert and Joan Niles preceded her in death.
Jennifer was a 1991 graduate of Cy Fair High School, Cypress, TX where she was a varsity lettered athlete in Tennis. She attended Texas A & M and Phoenix University where she received a Bachelor of Administration degree. She was a veteran of the US Army and was the honor graduate from both Basic Training, Ft. Jackson, SC and the Multi-Channel Radio tech school at Ft. Gordon, GA. She was a Certified Fitness Instructor in many areas of health disciplines. She had 12 years of service with Customs and Border Protection as a GS-12, Security Personnel Specialist.
She had a passion for rescued dogs and supported many humane societies. She loved Kenny Chesney and most fun music, particularly if it involved water and the beaches.
