Jean Elizabeth Patrick, 92, of Mt. Zion, IL went home to be with the Lord at 4:40 PM on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Mt. Zion Health and Rehab Center surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM (Noon) on Friday, January 30, 2026, at GT Church, 500 S. 27th St., Decatur, IL. with visitation two hours prior to the funeral, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. at the church. Pastor Matt Samuels will officiate. Burial will be in the Macon Cemetery. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Jean was born on December 14,1933, in Lovington, IL. She was a daughter of Arthur J. and Eva L. (Spaulding) Adcock. She was married to Everett Patrick; he went home to be with the Lord on May 22, 2015.
She is survived by four children, Sandra Seay (Bill) of Oracle, AZ, Connie Walters (Mike) of Sullivan, IL, Mike Patrick (Nancy) of Mt. Zion and Dianna Puckett (Martin) of Mt. Zion; nine grandchildren, Jessica Hogan (Jim), Austin Seay, Jason Fleming (Leah), Elizabeth Bennett (Craig), Tracy Ellingson (Bart), Josh Patrick (Ivonne), Jamie Rogers, Chad Deaton (Cathy), and Martin Puckett Jr (Angi); 15 great-grandchildren, Grace and Stella Hogan, Beau and Elise Fleming, Ashlyn, Lily and Harlan Bennett, Emma and Abby Ellingson, Isabel Patrick, Keanna, Trinity and Chad Deaton Jr, Kaitlyn and Courtney Schak, and one great great grandchild, Juniper Jean Noel McKinney.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five brothers, Arthur, Lyle, Kenneth, Richard, Wayne Adcock, and three sisters, Ethel Jenkins, Kathryn Jenkins, and Louise King.
Jean was a devoted employee where she served at Caterpillar, Decatur Park District, Borg Warner, Goldblatts, Bergners, and cherished her time as a manager at McDonald’s where she served for 16 years.
Jean was not only dedicated to her family but also to her community. She was a devoted member of GT Church in Decatur, where she actively served and opened her home for Bible Studies. Additionally, she took pride in maintaining a clean home, ensuring it was a welcoming space for others.
Throughout her life, Jean was known for her kindness and her love for the holidays. She cherished gathering with family and friends, often hosting large family meals in the garage where everyone felt welcomed. Her commitment to family was evident, and she loved being around her grandchildren, creating lasting memories.
Among her proudest accomplishments were her memberships in the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and the Sweet Adelines, a singing group through which she traveled to Hawaii and Carnegie Hall in New York City to perform.
Jean's family would like to extend their appreciation for the loving care she received from everyone employed at Mt. Zion Health and Rehab Center.
