Jean Lois Brown

Jean Lois Brown, 93, of New Port Richey, FL passed away at 12:52 AM on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at her grandson’s residence in Arcola, IL.

No formal services will be held. Jean will be buried at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Trinity, FL at a later date.

Jean was born on November 9, 1932 in Chicago, IL. She was a daughter of Elmer and Mabel Margaret (Fisher) Peters. She married Cecil S. Brown on September 13, 1958 in Chicago, IL. He passed away on December 22, 2006.

She is survived by one daughter, Sharon Kae Anderson of Arcola, IL, four grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren, Lynn Belsanti and her husband Rick of Land of Lakes, FL, (Mikayla), Eric Miller and his wife Jamie of Arcola, IL, (Aaliyah, Caiden, Liliana, and Frankie), Brian Miller and his wife Kristi of Oldsmar, FL, (Conner, Kylie, and Kellan), and Kaylene Knox and her husband Zack of Lafayette, IN, (Brysin, Iona, and Ezra).

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one daughter, Jean Leslie Holder.

Jean was raised in the Suburbs of Chicago. One of her first jobs was at the Chicago Stock Exchange. She later went to work for Roadway Trucking in the billing department and was a member of the Teamsters union.

Jean enjoyed playing pool and going to the casinos, she played in a pool league out of Hammond, IN. Jean lived most of her early life raising her children in Lake of the Four Seasons, IN, and then retired to Florida to live out the rest of her life, enjoying her time of being a mom and grandma.
