James West

James Darvin West, 88, of Mattoon, IL formerly of Humboldt, IL, died at the Odd Fellow-Rebekah Home in Mattoon, IL.

James was born on September 12, 1920 near Sesser, IL. He was a son of Charles and Elsie (Davis) West. He married Ethel Hoorebeke on August 14, 1939 in Jackson, MO. She preceded him in death on May 1, 2007. He was also preceded in death by one daughter Linda Leitch, his parents, seven sisters and two brothers.

He is survived by one sister, Margie Risley of Sesser, IL a sister-in-law, Hazel Robinson of Sesser, IL and several nieces and nephews including Pat Mattes of Mattoon, IL.

Arrangements for burial at Paradise Prairie Cemetery in Sesser, IL were made by the Edwards Funeral Home of Arcola, IL. No visitation nor services, per request of the deceased.
