Jacob Helmuth

JACOB A. HELMUTH, 80 years, 9 months, 14 days, of Atwood, IL passed away at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the Arthur Home.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Friday, October 26, 2018 at the Jacob and Verna Miller residence, 287 N CR 100 E in rural Arthur, IL.   Bishop Roger Otto will officiate.   Burial will be in the Yoder Cemetery in rural Arthur, IL.   Visitation will be held anytime after 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the Miller residence and anytime after 10:00 A.M. on Thursday.  The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Jacob was born on January 9, 1938 in Arthur, IL.   He was a son of Albert and Anna (Miller) Helmuth.   He married Fannie Mae Herschberger on December 21, 1961 in Arthur, IL.

Survivors include his wife of over 56 years, Fannie Mae; four children, Mary (Vernon) Schrock of Atwood, IL, Raymond (LeAnna) Helmuth of Howard, OH, Howard Helmuth of Arthur, IL and Wilma (Chris) Linhart of Greenwood, IN; twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; five siblings, Edna Farmwald of Nappanee, IN, Ora (Fannie) Hemuth of Statesville, NC, Viola (John) Jess of Arthur, IL, Levi (Eunice) Helmuth of Gulf Port, MS and Emma (Roy) Corona of  Gulf Port, MS

Jacob was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Mattie Yoder and her husband Ralph and Martha Arcilla and brother-in-law Leroy Farmwald.

Jacob a retired farmer and he was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
