HOWARD LYNN MILLER, 53, of rural Sullivan, IL passed away at 7:13 A.M. on Friday, September 22, 2017 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Monday, September 25, 2017 at the David O. Herschberger residence, 1229 CR1575 E in rural Sullivan, IL.   Bishop Christy Diener will officiate.   Burial will be in the Herschberger Cemetery in rural Sullivan, IL.   Visitation will be any time prior to the funeral at the David O. Herschberger residence.   The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Howard was born on January 31, 1964 in Mattoon, IL.   He is a son of Menno and Lorene (Plank) Miller.   He married Clara Mae Miller on September 25, 1986.

He is survived by his wife, Clara Mae, seven sons and four daughters, Brian Matthew Miller and his wife Lorraine (Miller), Mark Allen Miller and his wife Ruth Ann (Chupp), all of Sullivan, IL, Denise Elaine Herschberger and her husband Kenneth, of Arthur, IL, Sharon Ann Helmuth and her husband Edward, Timothy Jay Miller and his wife Merideth (Hostetler), Nathan Lynn, Jalyn Lamar, Robert James, Gary Duane, Lisa Marie and Lorraine Ruth all from Sullivan, IL; nine grandchildren; His parents, Menno and Lorene Miller of Arcola, IL; three brothers, Eldon Miller and his wife Rosanna (Kauffman) of Arcola, IL, Mervin Miller and his wife Wilma (Brenneman) of Lovington, IL and Steven Miller of Arcola, IL and six sisters, Sharon Miller of Arcola, IL, Shirley Kaufman and her husband Levi of Humboldt, IL, Treva Schrock and her husband Joseph of Arthur, IL, Edith Miller, Barbara Miller and Marnita Miller all of Arcola, IL.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, one brother-in-law, Leroy Yoder, and one sister-in-law, Louise Miller.

Howard has been employed at Miller’s Holzwerk in rural Arthur for the past twelve years.

He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
