Heather Rae McLane-Tristan, 34, passed away on September 9, 2018 in Aurora, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 14, 2018 at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main St., Arcola, IL. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at the funeral home.
Heather leaves behind one daughter, Elayna Blair Tristan of Arcola, IL; one son, Issac Jon Mendoza of Woodward, OK; her parents, Jim McLane and his wife Jodi of Arcola, IL, and Becky Hudson and her husband Rick of Tuscola, IL; her grandmother, Jan McLane of Arcola, IL; three brothers, Barry Pullen and his wife Gwen of Arcola, IL, Brad Pullen and his wife Michelle of Sullivan, IL and Jack McLane of Arcola, IL; two sisters, Andrea Ropiequet and her husband Curtis of Mattoon, IL and Leslie McLane of Stewardson, IL; one step-brother, Jeff Hudson; one step-sister, Jennifer Hudson; and several nephews and nieces including: Nate, Allie, Cecilia, Victoria, Ashley, Luke, Will, Claire and Reese.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Minerva Crossin; grandfathers: Tom McLane, William Graham and Fred Gee; and her aunt Phyllis Thompson.
Heather was born on July 18, 1984 in Tuscola, IL. She graduated from Arcola High School with the class of 2002. She worked as a waitress for many years in various places.
Heather was loved by her family and will be deeply missed. She will always be remembered as a fun and loving mother and aunt, and a sassy younger sister. Heather was Daddy’s girl and Da’s favorite sidekick. She had a close relationship with God and enjoyed attending her weekly bible study. She had a huge heart and would always bring home stray animals. She was the first to help a friend in need. Everyone that knew Heather loved her. Some of her favorite moments were the special times she had with her daughter Elayna. They loved taking goofy pictures, shopping, and their late-night girl talks; they had a special relationship and their time together will always be treasured.
Heather was a beautiful soul that would shine Christ’s light everywhere she went. She fought a long, hard battle and now rests at the foot of Jesus.
