Georgina Smith

Georgina Smith, 57, of Tuscola, IL passed away at 11:56 AM on Sunday, May 3, 2026 at her residence.

Celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

Georgina was born on June 29, 1968 in Phoenix, AZ. She was a daughter of Ronald and Donna (Newcomb) Smith.

She is survived by two children, Deidre Lynn Carpenter and her husband Scott of Tuscola, IL and Levi J. Miller and his fiancé Madison Thomas, of Mattoon, IL, three grandchildren, long time companion, Jeff Bell of Tuscola, IL, her mother, and several siblings that love her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her father, and a grandson, Malakai Miller.

Georgina started a dog grooming business simply because she wanted to. That business, Posh Pups in Arthur, Illinois, thrived for 20 years under her care. After two decades, she chose to pursue her passion for painting. Georgina was not just any painter; she was very artistic and specialized in unique finishes. If you could dream it, she would make it happen. Her creative skills went beyond the ordinary, bringing unique finishes to her work that set her apart from the average painter.

In addition to her businesses, Georgina was the Drama director at New Life Tabernacle in Sullivan.

Georgina would give the shirt off her back to anyone she thought was in need. Everyone who knew her loved her for her kindness and compassion. She was also very industrious, always taking the initiative to do something even if it seemed somewhat challenging.
