Biography

ELIZABETH J. MILLER, 89, of Arthur, IL passed away at 10:15 P.M. on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur, IL.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 29, 2015 and on Friday, October 30, 2015 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. all at Sunnyside Mennonite Church. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at the Sunnyside Mennonite Church. Rev. Larry Rocke will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunnyside Mennonite Church Cemetery. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Elizabeth was born on April 18, 1926 in Arthur, IL. She was a daughter to Joe C. and Bertha G. (Miller) Herschberger. She married Obed Miller on September 6, 1945 in Arthur, IL. He passed away on February 10, 2005.

She is survived by four sons, Lloyd Miller and his wife Sarah of Macon, MS, Willard Miller and his wife Debbie of Harrisburg, MO, Joe Miller and his wife Shari of Rapid City, SD and Mervin Miller and his wife Jewel of Macon, MS, one daughter Rosana Yoder and her husband Virlin of Montgomery, IN, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and two sisters, Nettie Schrock of Barnwell, SC and Edna Nissley and her husband David of Arthur, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Mary Miller, one great-granddaughter, Megan Miller, two brothers, Edward and Levi Herschberger and two sisters, Alma Miller and Verna Herschberger.

Elizabeth was a homemaker, and she was a member of the Sunnyside Mennonite Church in rural Arcola.

Memorials may be made to the Sunnyside Mennonite Church.
