Elizabeth A. Hoehn

Elizabeth A. Hoehn, 79, of Arcola, IL passed away at 3:14 PM on Friday, November 4, 2022 at Odd Fellow Rebekah Home in Mattoon, IL.

Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 in the Calvary Cemetery in Nokomis, IL.  The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. 

Liz was born on June 15, 1943 in Nokomis, IL.  She was a daughter of Oscar and Margaret “Maggie” (Mindrup) Hoehn.  

She is survived by one brother, Donald Hoehn and his wife Elsie of Witt, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Everett and Clarence Hoehn and one sister, Lucille Barber.

Liz attended a country grade school near Nokomis.  She was a member of the Nokomis Catholic Church.

She lived with her parents until they passed and then with an aunt.  After her passing she moved to Ashmore Estates, Omega 8, Tull House, and then to Arcola Cila House.

Liz worked at the recycling program at CCAR in Charleston, IL since December of 1982, and she attended Camp New Hope.

In her spare time, Liz loved watching the Beverly Hillbillies, she loved to bake cakes and peel potatoes.  Liz also loved to sneak outside and do the yard work.  She looked forward to helping do any sort of household chores.
