Edna J. Schrock

Edna J. (Chupp) Schrock, 90 years, 10 months, 29 days, of Arcola, IL passed away at on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at her daughter's residence in Windsor, MO.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 AM on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Marcus Gingerich’s residence, 370 North CR 270 East, Arthur, IL.  Bishop Ervin E. Miller will officiate.  Burial will be in the Yoder Cemetery in rural Arthur, IL.  Visitation will be held anytime after 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 18, 2023 and anytime after 10:00 AM on Friday, May 19, 2023 at Marcus Gingerich’s residence.  The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting the family.  

Edna was born on June 17, 1932 in rural Arthur, IL.  She was the daughter of Jacob M. and Mattie A. (Herschberger) Chupp.  She married Fred D. Schrock on November 25, 1954 in rural Arthur, IL.  He passed away on August 18, 2013.

She is survived by her children, Barbara Ann Schrock of Arcola, IL, Mary Jess and her husband Willard of Arthur, IL, Mattie Marie Gingerich and her husband Marcus of Arthur, IL, Ada Fern Herschberger and her husband Andy Ray of Windsor, MO, Clara Mae Yoder and her husband Wilmer of Reed City, MI, Omer Schrock and his wife Wilma of Stoneboro, PA, Sara Schrock and her husband Ernest of McBain, MI, Samuel Schrock and his wife Christina of Reedsville, WI and Joseph Schrock and his wife Treva of Arthur, IL, one daughter-in-law, Rosemary Schrock of Arthur, IL, 83 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 115 great grandchildren, 27 step great grandchildren, 2 step great great grandchildren, one brother, Lewis Chupp and his wife Mary of Arthur, IL, two sisters, Clara Schrock of Arthur, IL and Wilma Yoder of Crab Orchard, KY, and three sisters-in-law, Anna Chupp of Millersburg, IN, Verna Chupp of Arthur, IL and Lorene Chupp of Tuscola, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Paul Schrock, 4 brothers, Joas, Eli, Edward and Omer Chupp, 1 sister-in-law, Esther Chupp, 2 brothers-in-law, Edward Schrock and Eli Yoder, 3 grandchildren, 1 step grandchild, 1 great grandchild, 1 step great grandchild.
