Duane Alan Beachy

DUANE ALAN BEACHY, 37 of Cooks Mills, IL passed away at 4:38 A.M. on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, in Danville, IL.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at Trinity Christian Fellowship Church, 1774 East County Road 1800 North, in rural Arthur, IL. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, May 6, 2024, at Trinity Christian Fellowship Church, Burial will follow in the Trinity Christian Fellowship Church Cemetery. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Duane was born on November 10, 1986, in Decatur, IL, a son of Omer L. and Dorothy Louise (Schrock) Beachy. 

He is survived by one daughter, Kaci Marie Beachy (19) of Cooks Mills, IL; one son Onyx Monroe Beachy (4) of Lovington, IL; his parents, Omer and Dorothy Beachy of Cooks Mills, IL; five siblings, Raymond Eli Beachy of Arthur, IL, John Matthew Beachy and his wife Clara Mae of Auburn, KY, Theresa Renee Gingerich and her husband Christopher of Cooks Mills, IL, Jason Lavon Beachy and his wife Carol of Lovington, IL and Katrina Ann Beachy of Cooks Mills, IL; ten nieces and nephews; his paternal grandmother, Katie Beachy of Arthur, IL and his maternal grandfather, Alvin Schrock, as well as numerous, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Duane was preceded in death by an infant brother, Richard Dale Beachy, his paternal grandfather, Levi Beachy and his maternal grandmother Gertie Ann Schrock.

Duane most recently worked as a welder for Tri-County Welding in Arthur.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he had a really great sense of humor. He used to love playing practical jokes on his siblings while growing up. 

Duane really enjoyed bonding with his family.
