Dave Binion

David Lane “Dave” Binion, 73, of Arthur, IL passed away at 10:55 AM on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at The Haven of Arcola.

Graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 2, 2026 in the Arthur Cemetery. Lamar Miller will officiate. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Dave was born on August 21, 1952 in Tuscola, IL. He was a son of Robert Edward and Helen Mae (London) Binion. He married Sharon Kay (Yoder) Coleman on May 25, 2002 in Arthur, IL.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Binion of Arthur, IL, three children, Audra Binion Deitz of Virginia, Libby Hostetler and her husband Nick of Chatham, IL and Tyler Binion and his wife Christina of California, two step children, Chase Coleman and his wife Lindsay of Monticello, IL, and Nick Coleman of Charleston, IL, seven grandchildren, sister-in-law, Theresa Binion of Arthur, IL, two uncles, Wilburn Binion and Wayne London and an aunt, Judy Coomer, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Denny Binion.

Dave was a graduate of Arthur High School, graduating in 1970. His career started in the paint industry, which he worked for many years before accepting an HR position at Coach House Garage, where he worked for 24 years.

Dave enjoyed the times he spent fishing, hunting, watching his boys play sports and listening to his girls sing, and especially being with his family. He was a die-hard Chicago Bears fan and an avid Illini fan.

He was a member of the Vine Street Christian Church.
