Biography

DANILLE (DANA) LACINDA PRICE, 33, of Mattoon, IL, passed away at 12:10 P.M. on Friday, January 22, 2016 at the Carle Hospital in Urbana, IL.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main, Arcola, IL. A visitation will be held one hour before the memorial service at the funeral home.

Dana was born on April 11, 1982 in Mattoon, IL. She is the daughter of Timothy A. and Penny D. (Navel) Price.

She is survived by her loving parents, Tim and Penny Price of Ogden, IL, one brother Nate Price and his wife Jenna of St. Joseph, IL, a close sister Lindsay Hesselmann and her husband Greg of St. Joseph, IL, her best friend and fiancé John Novotny of Mattoon, IL, one proud grandmother Nancy Navel of Arthur, IL and her nephew Brayden Hasselmann and her niece Clowie Price.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Bill and Billie Price and her maternal grandfather, Allen Navel.

Dana was fiercely loyal and loving to her family and friends. She enjoyed writing; she was a tremendous cook and seldom turned down the opportunity to play cards or board games.

She was a passionate volunteer for the Sexual Assault Counseling and Information Services (SACIS) and she was the one that others called on for guidance and advice.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials be made in Dana’s memory to the Charleston, IL SACIS, 1505 18th St. Charleston, IL, Camp New Hope 1364 CR 100 E, Neoga, IL, or the Bright Minds Education Program-Autism Awareness, 7704 Deerpath Road, Charleston, IL.
