Dale Johnson

Dale Keith Johnson, 67, of Newman, IL formerly of Atwood, IL passed away at 5:10 PM on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at Newman Nursing and Rehabilitation.

A celebration of life services will be held at a later date. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Dale was born on August 11, 1958 in Tuscola, IL. He was the son of Younger Ike and Velma Frances (Jobe) Johnson.

He is survived by one sister, Sara Conner and her husband Eric of Nashville, IL and two nephews, Ben Conner of Arthur, IL and Drew Conner and his wife Meredith of Sherman, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Alan Johnson.

Dale was a graduate of Atwood High School. He worked as a truck driver for several years and was known to many as “Rust Bucker”. Dale enjoyed riding his Harley and watching NASCAR races with his brother and brother-in-law.
