Connie Hampton

Connie Ann Hampton, 67, of Mattoon, IL passed away at 2:11 P.M. on June 1, 2019 at her residence.

Private family services will be held. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Connie was born on July 24, 1951 to Joseph and Shirley (Bartimus).

She is survived by her daughter, Marcia Vasquez Carroll, her son, Jose Gauna Jr. and her youngest daughter, Adriana (Rosie) Gauna, two granddaughters, Alyssa Carroll and Olivia Carroll, whom she loved very much, two sisters, Marsha Estell Gude and Barbara Eshegbeye Drake, one brother, Michael Estell and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Connie was loved by so many.  She touched many peoples lives and hearts.  She was a very strong women whom fought through everything that came her way.  She loved to draw, listen to music and spend time with her children and grandchildren.  She was truly the heart of the family.
